The purpose of this public hearing is to consider passage of the following:
Rezoning Application #2017-01: The applicant, Eastern Woodlands Corporation., seeks to rezone Tax Map Number 13-A-5 (consisting of approximately 107.96 acres) and Tax Map Number 13-4-1A (consisting of approximately 8.2 acres) from Planned Unit Development (PUD) to General Agricultural (A-1) Zoning District to allow for a tree farm. Tax Map Number 13-A-5 has frontage on Cabin Point Road (Route 602) and is located approximately 1,360 feet west of the intersection of Cabin Point Road (Route 602) and Newville Road (Route 625). Tax Map Number13-4-1A has frontage on Cabin Point Road (Route 602) and is located approximately 443 west of the intersection on Cabin Point Road (Route 602) and Newville Road (Route 625). Both affected properties are located in the Courthouse Election District.

A copy of the proposed rezoning application is available for review in the Community Development Office during regular business hours Monday thru Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and can also be reviewed on the county’s website at www.sussexcountyva.gov.
