Citizens may comment on the request for termination of post-closure care at the Sussex County - Robinson Road Sanitary Landfill located in Sussex County, Virginia
PURPOSE OF NOTICE: As part of the application process to terminate post-closure care at a solid waste management facility, the Department of Environmental Quality requires the public be allowed to provide comment on the request. The public is invited to comment on the merits of the request.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: May 15, 2019 to June, 15 2019
PERMIT NAME AND NUMBER: Sussex County – Robinson Road Sanitary Landfill, Permit #107.
PERMIT OWNER: Sussex County.
FACILITY NAME AND LOCATION: The facility is located on Route 632, approximately 2,000 feet south of the intersection with Route 40 in Sussex County, Virginia. The location of the Sussex County – Robinson Road Sanitary Landfill is covered by the Littleton, VA, USGS 7 ½-minute topographic quadrangle map.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Sussex County has requested release from the Post-closure Care monitoring requirements of 9VAC20-81-170.

All comments must include the name, address and telephone number of the person commenting and be received by Sussex County within the comment period.
