Sussex County Citizens may now Retrieve Crash Reports Online
There is a $5.00 fee associated with retrieving the report which may be paid online. As always citizens may come to the Sheriff's Office in person to retrieve a copy of the report.
Now Accepting Applications for the COVID-19 Small Business Relief Micro-Grant Program
On June 18, 2020 the Sussex County Board of Supervisors approved $100,000 - $150,000 of CARES funding to the Sussex County Industrial Development Authority (IDA) for the COVID-19 Small Business Relief Micro-Grant Program. This micro-grant program will assist Sussex County small businesses by providing needed cash for working capital to support rent, mortgage payments, utility expenses, or other similar expenses that occur in the ordinary course of business.

On April 11, 2020 the Sussex County Sheriff's Office took a report of a stolen tailgate from Owen Ford in Jarratt, Virginia. The suspect took the tailgate at approximately 12:29 a.m. that morning from a truck on the sales lot next to Route 301.
