Pursuant to Sections 15.2-1800 and 15.2-1813 of the Code of Virginia, as amended, the Sussex County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at approximately 6:00 p.m. at the Sussex County General District Courthouse, Sussex Judicial Center, 15098 Courthouse Road, Sussex, Virginia 23884. The purpose of the hearing is to solicit input and receive comments concerning the short-term lease of the Henry Technology Park property for hunting purposes only. The Henry Technology Park property is identified as Parcel C 165-A-19, lying situate and being on the southeast side of U.S. Route 301, on the south side of Route 609 (Lebanon Church Road) and on the west side of Route 612 (Proctor Road) located in the Henry Magisterial District, Sussex County, Virginia. Following the public hearing, the Board of Supervisors may, or may not, take action to lease property in the Henry Technology Park.

Interested parties can submit offers to lease the property for up to four years by mail to Mrs. Shilton R. Butts, Assistant to the County Administrator, P.O. Box 1397, Sussex, Virginia 23884, by email to sricks@sussexcountyva.gov, or hand deliver to 20135 Princeton Road, Sussex, Virginia 23884. The deadline for submittal of offers is Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at 4:30 p.m.
