Pursuant to Virginia Code Section 15.2-1800 and 15.2-1813, as amended, the Sussex County Board of Supervisors will hold a public hearing on October 16, 2025, at 6:00 p.m., in the General District Courtroom – Sussex Judicial Center, 15098 Courthouse Road, Sussex, Virginia 23884, or as soon thereafter as may be heard.

The purpose of the public hearing is to solicit input and receive comments concerning the proposed transfer of property and all the improvements thereon located in Sussex County, Virginia, to the Sussex County Economic Development Authority.

The property includes Tax Parcels: 7-A-15, 15-A-20, 15-A-3, 15-A-18, 15-A-17, 16-A-4, 7-A-7, 7-A-7A and described as follows:

All those certain tracts or parcels of land, with all improvements thereon, and all privileges and appurtenances thereunto belonging, situate, lying, and being in the County of Sussex, Virginia, containing 1,286 acres, more or less, in the Blackwater District, and located in the Sussex Green Enterprise Park.

Citizens are encouraged to attend and comment during the public hearing.  Comments may also be submitted in writing to dconmy@sussexcountyva.gov or via mail to the County Administration, P. O. Box 1397, 20135 Princeton Road, Sussex, VA 23884, no later than noon on October 15, 2025. Any persons needing assistance or accommodations under the provisions of the American Disabilities Act should contact the County Administrator’s Office at 434-246-1000 at least seven (7) days in advance of the hearing.
