Summary:
The County has initiated emergency and sole source procurement for the above-referenced projects. The County has determined that circumstances of the condition of storefront glass contained within the structure at 304-310 W. Main Street is a danger to public health and safety. It has further been determined that the selected contractor is the one source practicably available to replace the storefront glass at 304-310 and 307 W. Main Street in Waverly, VA 23890.

Invitation for Quotes: IFQ 2021-1 Construct Handicapped Ramp at 225 Butler St., Waverly, VA 23890
The County of Sussex, Virginia is hereby soliciting written quotes from licensed and insured general contractors to construct a handicapped ramp to be built per the attached specifications at 225 Butler Street, Waverly, VA 23890 located in the Sussex County Regional Urgent Need (UNOS) Grant area of Sussex County, VA. The ramp shall also be built to the Sussex County Deck/Ramp handout (copy attached).
The funds used to construct the ramp are provided in part via a Federal Community Improvement Grant / Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funds as administrated by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development ("VDHCD").
The County of Sussex, VA will be accepting written quotes for this project until 2:00 P.M. on Friday, November 19, 2021. The County reserves to accept the lowest responsive and responsible quote. Quotes may be submitted via email, fax, mail or hand-delivery. Contractors shall be required to obtain all required building permits. All permit fees will be waived. Quotes may be submitted to:

The County of Sussex, Virginia is hereby soliciting written sealed bids from licensed and insured general contractors to perform demolition and removal work for two (2) vacant one-story frame structures located in the Sussex County Pocahontas Neighborhood Improvement Project area of Sussex County, VA.
The funds used to demo these structures are provided via a Federal Community Improvement Grant / Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funds as administrated by the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development ("VDHCD").
The project includes two (2) vacant one-story frames structures:

RFP # 2021-03 Annual Term Contracts for Professional Engineering Services on Multiple Small Projects

Overview:
The County of Sussex will receive sealed proposals until April 30, 2021 at 2:00 P.M. Eastern Standard Time, from firms seeking to enter an annual contract to provide with professional engineering services on multiple small projects. Pursuant to the requirements of the Virginia Public Procurement Act (Va. Code § 4303.1), fees paid for professional services under such contract shall not exceed $150,000 for any single project, nor shall the annual sum of all projects exceed $750,000. The initial one-year contract may be extended annually for up to four additional years, at the County’s sole option. In its sole discretion the County may elect to award such contracts to more than one of the firms submitting proposals.

RFP # 2021-02 Lawn Mowing and Landscaping Services for Various Locations
Overview:
The County of Sussex is seeking proposals from Contractors who are not only capable of performing the attached scope of work but are also take pride in their finished product. The contractor must currently be in the business of providing turf, landscaping maintenance services, and irrigation system work. All applicable federal, state, and local laws, ordinances and regulations must be adhered to. Services to commence April 5, 2021.
Contractors submitting a proposal should review the procurement requirements listed.
Specifically, the selected Contractor will be required to:

Execute a Master Services Agreement with the County of Sussex;

Complete applicable forms and certifications;

Maintain General Liability Insurance as set out in Exhibit A

Maintain Workers Compensation Insurance as set out in Exhibit A; and

and business automobile liability as set out in Exhibit A and furnish proof of such insurance;
Bidders are encouraged to attend a pre-proposal meeting March 29, 2021 at 10am at 20135 Princeton Road (Administration Building) when County staff will review regulations and requirements, answer questions, and provide a tour.
