In addition to the duties and powers imposed by general law, the Commonwealth's Attorney prosecutes all warrants, indictments, or information charging a felony or Class 1 and 2 misdemeanors.

The Office enforces all forfeitures and collects delinquent fines and costs owed to the Commonwealth. This department also requires the payment of restitution from offenders to victims when they incur losses from criminal activity.
