When are reassessments done?

Every 4 to 6 years and this is determined by the Board of Supervisors.

Does Sussex have relief for the elderly?

No – an ordinance has to be passed by the Board of Supervisors for this to become effective.

When does an individual not have to pay personal property tax on a vehicle?

When a personal vehicle is less than $1,000 in value, there is no tax, but one is still responsible for the $25.00 license tax that took the place of the decal fees.
